Linda Metropulos

Linda Metropulos has been working in real estate development in Pittsburgh since 1995 when she co-founded Artists and Cities Inc. With Artists and Cities, Linda was able to blend her interests in community and urban development with the arts to create spaces where people could live and work in a neighborhood setting. Since 2002 she has been involved in developing environmentally responsible buildings and projects that are both energy efficient and healthier for their occupants.

In 2005 Linda founded ARTEMIS Environmental Building Materials with business partner Janice Donatelli. ARTEMIS is a supplier of “green" building materials that contribute to healthier living, and have minimal impact on the environment. As the only showroom in the tri-state area where customers can purchase environmental healthy building materials. ARTEMIS served as a point of entry for those interested in "going green" Linda transferred her interest in ARTEMIS to Janice in 2008 in order to open Metropulos Development.

From 1995 to 2006 Linda was the founder and director of Artists and Cities, during which time she developed three buildings that continue to provide affordable space for artists to live and work: The Spinning Plate Artist Lofts, The Ice House Artist Studios and The Blackbird Lofts and Artist Studios The Blackbird Lofts was developed using the LEED guidelines for sustainable development.
